Website & Cookie Notice

This notice covers dateagent.com and dateagent.app (marketing pages, the waitlist, and invitation/RSVP web pages). It supplements the Privacy Policy.

Cookies: we don't set any

Our websites currently set no cookies — no advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, no cross-site trackers, and no cookie banner theater. If we ever introduce cookies beyond what's strictly necessary, we will update this notice first and add appropriate consent controls.

Analytics: none

Our web pages currently run no analytics scripts at all — no page-view trackers, cookieless or otherwise. What we can see about web traffic comes from ordinary hosting server logs (below). If we ever add web analytics, we will update this notice first and choose a cookieless, aggregate-only tool.

Server logs and rate limiting

Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure briefly records request metadata — IP address, user agent, requested page — for security, debugging, and abuse prevention: dateagent.app is hosted on Vercel, and dateagent.com is hosted on Opalstack behind Cloudflare's content-delivery network. Public endpoints are rate-limited using transient IP-keyed counters (Upstash) with short expirations. Invitation-page view counts store only a one-way hashed form of the IP address.

One more passive detail: when a datemenu uses stock photography, the invitation page loads those images directly from Unsplash's CDN, so your browser makes a standard image request to Unsplash (IP, browser info) — the same as any site using externally hosted images. No Dateagent data is sent with it.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address (plus the page you signed up from, your browser's user-agent string, and referring page) to tell you when Dateagent is available. We use it for launch-related messages only — every email will identify us and include a working unsubscribe. We don't sell or share waitlist emails. Invitation pages

Pages at dateagent.app that display a host's datemenu or invitation show information that host chose to share. If you're viewing one as a guest, the Guest Privacy Notice explains exactly what's collected (short version: hashed view counts; whatever you type into the RSVP form; nothing else).

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

We don't track visitors across sites, so there is nothing for a DNT or GPC signal to opt out of; we honor the spirit of both by default.
