Community Guidelines

Dateagent exists to make planning dates delightful. That only works if everyone — hosts and guests — can trust what they see and how they're treated. These rules apply to everything you do on the Service — profiles, photos, date options, invitations, messages in invitation fields, RSVPs, and private notes where noted — and to off-Service conduct connected to it: if we learn that someone used Dateagent to arrange a date and harmed the other person, we can and will act on that.

The one-line version: be real, be respectful, and only involve people who want to be involved.

1. Be real

  • Be yourself. No impersonating another person or entity, no fake profiles, no misrepresenting your identity, age, or affiliation.
  • Adults only. You must be 18+. Never involve a minor in any way — no images of minors in dating contexts, no inviting minors, no content sexualizing minors under any circumstance. Violations of this rule lead to content removal and account termination. Where we have actual knowledge of apparent child sexual exploitation, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
  • Your photos. Upload only images you have the right to use, and don't upload photos of other people without their permission.
  • No AI fakery. Don't present AI-generated images or text as real people, places, or events (e.g., a fake profile photo or fabricated venue).

2. Be respectful

We remove content and ban accounts for:

  • Harassment, stalking, or threats — including unwanted repeated contact and encouraging others to pile on.
  • Hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, serious illness, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or immigration status.
  • Sexual exploitation — sexually explicit content in profiles, date options, or invitations; any commercial sexual content; and non-consensual intimate imagery (sharing or threatening to share intimate images without consent — also illegal in most states).
  • Violence — threats, glorification of violence, or content promoting self-harm (if you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988).
  • Doxxing — publishing anyone's private information (address, phone, workplace, or outing someone's orientation or status) without their consent.

3. Only involve people who want to be involved

Dateagent stores information about people who may not use the app — your contacts and your guests. Handle it with care:

  • Add contact details only for people you genuinely know, and only what they'd reasonably expect you to record.
  • Stop means stop. Don't use Dateagent to contact, track, or invite someone who has asked you to stop — including via new links after being blocked.
  • Delete a person's information if they ask you to.
  • Private notes are private, but they're not lawless: threats or plans of harm in any field are violations and may be disclosed as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Don't abuse the platform

  • No spam or commercial use — no advertising, promotion, selling, recruiting, or link-farming through profiles, date options, or invitations; no mass or automated invitations.
  • No scams or fraud — no soliciting money, gifts, or financial information from anyone. Romance-scam behavior leads to account termination.
  • No illegal activity — including arranging illegal services or transactions through date options.
  • No technical abuse — no scraping or harvesting data (including for AI training), automated access, security probing, circumventing rate limits or blocks, malware, or interfering with the Service.
  • No misuse of reporting — knowingly false reports waste the time that real reports need and are themselves a violation.

5. Enforcement

  • Automated screening: Dateagent automatically screens photos and shareable text — your profile photo, name, username, bio, social handles, and date-idea details, plus guest RSVP names and messages — when you upload or save them. Content that violates these rules is blocked at that point with an explanation, and photos are screened before they could ever appear on an invitation page. Automated screening isn't perfect, which is why reporting exists.
  • Reporting: the app's invitation and response screens include a Report option (reasons include spam, inappropriate content, harassment, and fake identity), and anyone — including guests without accounts — can report by emailing [email protected]. Reports are confidential; we don't tell the reported person who reported them.
  • We act promptly on reports of objectionable content or abusive users — prioritizing reports involving safety — removing content, restricting features, or suspending/terminating accounts. For content involving minors, threats of violence, or imminent harm we also contact the appropriate authorities. Enforcement can be based on off-Service conduct connected to the Service (see above).
  • Blocking: you can block any registered user; blocking is silent to the blocked person and enforced server-side — while signed in they can no longer open your invitations or datemenu, and their RSVPs are rejected. You can also block a guest from their response: future RSVPs from their phone number are rejected, their responses disappear from your lists, and the invite link they used is deactivated. For an accountless guest who left no phone number, deactivating the invite link they hold cuts off access instantly. Manage blocks in Settings → Blocked Users.
  • Appeals: if we've actioned your content or account and you believe we got it wrong, email [email protected] (subject "Appeal") within 30 days. We'll review and respond.

These guidelines are incorporated into the Terms of Service and evolve with the Service; material changes are announced per the Terms of Service §21.
