Guest Privacy Notice

You received a Dateagent invitation. Someone you know (your "Host") used Dateagent to invite you on a date. You don't need an account or an app to respond — here's what happens with your information when you view or reply.
What we collect when you view an invitation
- The fact that the invitation was viewed, and when. To count unique views we record a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your device's IP address — we never store your viewing IP with your RSVP or in readable analytics.
- Basic technical info in our hosting provider's server logs — including your IP address, briefly, for security and rate limiting; these logs expire on a short cycle.
- No cookies. No ad tracking. No location tracking.
What we collect if you RSVP
Only what you submit with the form:
- Your name and the date option(s) and time(s) you pick
- Optionally — a phone number or email so your Host can reach you, an Instagram handle, and a short message
If you're responding to a personal invitation addressed to you (rather than a public Datecard page), we collect only the times you pick and your optional message — no name or contact details.
If you provide a phone number and tick the "text me" box, we'll text you to confirm your RSVP — and again if your Host cancels the date. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of further texts, or HELP for help.
Who sees it
- Your Host sees your RSVP — that's the point of the invitation. It appears in their Dateagent account.
- Our service providers process it only to run Dateagent (hosting, text delivery) — see our Sub-processor List.
- Nobody else. We do not sell your information, use it for ads, share it with other users, or combine it with data from anyone else's account. We don't use it to build a profile of you.
How long we keep it
Your RSVP lives in your Host's account and is deleted when your Host deletes their account. View counts are stored only in hashed form.
Your choices and rights
- Texts are opt-in. We text you only if you tick the "text me" box on the RSVP form: a confirmation of your RSVP, and — if it happens — a notice that your Host cancelled the date. Reply STOP any time. Leave the box unticked and we never text you.
- Share as little as you like. Beyond your name and your picks, everything else — phone, email, Instagram, message — is optional.
- Want your RSVP deleted, or a copy of it? When you send an RSVP we show you a private receipt link on the confirmation screen. Open it any time to see exactly what we hold about that RSVP and delete it yourself — no account, no waiting, no need to contact us. Save that link. It is the only copy: we store it only in hashed form, so we cannot look it up or re-send it. If you no longer have it, email [email protected] with the host's name and roughly when you responded, and we will locate and delete your RSVP where we can identify it. We can only send you a copy of it if you left contact details on the RSVP that we can check the request against. We respond within 45 days.
